I got up this morning at 6:45 and made a big breakfast of Blueberry scones, scrambled eggs, and bacon.
We packed a lunch and went fishing. Ethan caught a few walleyes’.
We stopped on an island for lunch. We needed to look for some firewood and we ran across this skeleton of a large fish. Wish that I would have put something down for size comparison. What was left of it was way over 3 feet.
After supper I spent some time getting cleaned up. The weather radio is talking about a chance for some storms tonight. Ethan did a little more fishing from shore. Sunset was nice but we can start to hear thunder in the distance.
The weather radio is now talking about the storm producing wind over 60 MPH, heavy rain, and penny size hail. We take some time to batten down the hatches around the camp.
Tried taking some pictures of the lightning over Lake Agnes, but was not quick enough on the draw. We changed it over to video and here are a couple of pictures taken from the video.
Well the storm did hit with full force. We had a very level tent pad, but we had a stream running between the middle of us in the tent. It was pushing the floor up like a water bed. We ended up with about a cup of water in the tent with us. This time it really paid off to have both an “innie” and a “outtie” vapor barriers for the tent.
